{Preview} Proposal + Surprise Wedding!

September 14th, 2013

Yesterday was one of the most unique experiences I’ve had as a photographer. Dwight planned for months this elaborate proposal for his love, Sandy. He arranged for their closest friends and family, from all over the world, to gather at the Flume Gorge and surprise Sandy as she and Dwight went for what she thought was just a fun Friday hike. At points throughout the loop, she would run into her family from across the country and her oldest friends she hasn’t seen in ages. After ‘running into’ the first few groups of people, she knew something special was happening. At the end of the hike (about an hour and about 45 excited reunions later) Dwight proposed. She said YES, not knowing that the biggest surprise was that he had planned an elaborate, gorgeous wedding for that afternoon. She was completely blown away and speechless. I can’t wait to share more from the wedding…it was dreamed up and designed by Kristin of By Emily B, who worked with Dwight for months to create this gorgeous, romantic evening for Dwight and Sandy to celebrate with their loved ones. For now just a few peeks at the day that Sandy woke up to go for a hike and fell asleep married to her love, Dwight. That is romance!

Jen and Dave’s Salem Waterfront Wedding

July 29th, 2013

Last month Jen and Dave were married on a gorgeous, blue skies and breezes late-June day in Salem, Ma. They live in Virginia, really close to where I am from, and it’s always felt like working with old friends as we’ve gotten to know each other over the past year. Their wedding day was so lovely, filled with their family and friends, and was such a wonderful celebration for the two of them. These are a few of my favorite images from their waterfront wedding…enjoy!

Sheena and Matt’s Newburyport, MA Wedding

July 23rd, 2013

Sheena and Matt’s wedding was incredible. Elegant and fun, with a touch of a Gatsby feel that was perfect. Following their Newburyport ceremony, we spent some time enjoying the breeze by the water and taking fun pictures with their bridal party. On our way to their reception at The Hellenic Center, we stopped by The Whipple House for some portraits with just the two of them. They are both so, so kind and wonderful to be around, and always smiling. It was really a beautiful day, and a perfect celebration of the two of them. Here are a few of my favorite images from their gorgeous, early Summer wedding. Enjoy!

Baby Lindsey

July 10th, 2013

One of the things I love most about photographing a new baby is that sweet sense of brand-new, and also the feeling that it’s hard to remember or imagine what it was like before her. At one month, this sweet girl has brought a happiness to her parents that was so wonderful to capture. These are a few of my favorite images from my afternoon with sweet baby Lindsey and her wonderful parents. Enjoy!
