It was freezing the morning we took these photos, the first frost of the year, but it was hardly noticeable because we were all completely distracted by this sweet little girl’s huge, infectious, gorgeous smile. Such a happy family and a bright and cozy home for them to enjoy their sweet Charlotte. I loved this morning with them. Here are just a few of my favorite images…enjoy!
One of the things I love most about photographing a new baby is that sweet sense of brand-new, and also the feeling that it’s hard to remember or imagine what it was like before her. At one month, this sweet girl has brought a happiness to her parents that was so wonderful to capture. My approach to photographing children and familes has changed so much since becoming a mom myself. The images I want to create are those that will help you remember the moments that, at the time, seem impossible to forget. The sweet smiles and spontaneous hugs and wide, happy eyes that little ones have at their surroundings. The love on the face of parents watching their baby squeal and laugh at wildflowers.
